Abbiamo comprato questa casetta nel maggio del 2010. Dopo mesi di ricerca abbiamo trovato in lei tutto quello che cercavamo, o quasi. La location, inanzitutto, in una delle zone piú verdi e periferiche della nostra cittá. Una zona residenziale tranquillissima e a poche centinaia di metri dalla campagna piú verde e tipicamente british. E poi le stanze, tutte quelle che ci servivano, (anche se su alcune cose abbiamo dovuto ovviamente compromettere e rinunciare)
Quando l'abbiamo comprata ci siamo resi conto che era messo molto peggio di come ce la ricordavamo dagli appuntamenti con l'agenzia! Il primo impatto é stato un pó angosciante... avremmo rifatto tutto se possibile. Poi pian piano ci siamo messi di buona lena e armati di pazienza e portafoglio a fisarmonica l'abbiamo rivoluzionata e fatta rivoltare come un calzino!
Abbiamo fatto cambiare tutti i pavimenti (tranne lentrata con legno che ci piaceva), i bagni completamente rivoluzionati da piedi a soffitto, ridecorato tutti i muri, e fatto estendere la cucina per creare anche una piccolissima lavanderia. I lavori strutturali sono finalmente finiti, ora é il momento di decorare gli interni, arredare, riempirla di amore e pensare al giardino... e se volete seguirci in questo percorso mi fará molto piacere!

We bought this house in May 2010. After months of searching we finally found in this little house all the things we needed. Location, first of all, in one of the most green and suburban areas of our town. It is in a very quiet residential area, on the outskirts of the town, just a couple of hundred miles from the green and peaceful british countryside. And then we fell in love with the rooms that were the right ones we needed (even if we had to compromise on some things).
When we bought it we realized that it was in a much worse state then what we remembered from the viewings! The first impact was a bit upsetting .. we wanted to change every single thing! Then we calmed down, we prepared ourself to be patient and to spend a lot of money and we decided to refurbish every room, basically we had the house turned inside out like a sock!
We had all the floorings changed, all the walls redecorated, the two bathrooms completely refurbished, and the kitchen extended towards the garden, to create also, a small utiliy room.
Now the structural works are finally finished and it's the time to decorate, furnish, fill it with love and think about the garden .... if you want to follow us through this journey it will be a pleasure for me!
