Un weekend intenso (e fortunato!)

Eccomi tornata! ^__^)

Here I am back! I came back to british lands :(((( and now between luggage to empty and precious italian food to store I cut out some moments to tell you shortly about a nice italian weekend! Among all the things done I want to underline a beautiful wedding of a couple of friends of ours on saturday (that's the reason why we wento to italy).. that was really flawless, one of the most nice I have ever been to! We really enjoyed ourselves and even if it's been a tour de force (from 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 p.m.) I really enjoyed every minute of it!This is the congraturations card I handmade for them. It's really simple (maybe too much) but you know, in my crafting style, simplicity is an important thing! I hope they liked it , I think so! (ps: message to all the talented cross stitchers that are among the links of my blog: obviously my stitchery is done without any technique.... and you can see it! but I think that this way it has a more rustic taste, doesn'it? well let's say so.... ^__^!)

And another nice thing that happened to me during this w.e. is that friday afternoon I finally met martina (one of the many martina of the forum!!!) a creative friend from padova. Until friday I've only had the chance to chat with her via web and now I eventually saw her face, and her lovely house and family!!! We spent a couple of hours chatting and that time really seemed one second and I hope I'll have a chance to repeat this experience in the future.. and now I'll explain the reasonof the title (a very hectic and "lucky" weekend). Well you need to know that martina was so kind to give me as a gift a lot of fabric from her collection, the official excuse was that when she buys fabric she always buy too much of it, but the real reason is that she has a big and lovely heart! (and I already knew it!) so look down here what lovely fabric I brought back home with me!!! I am looking forward to using them for some tilda style doll or for some totes or apron! Thank you martina!!! ps the only problem is that these fabric are soooo nice that I am afraid of using them:((( I'd like to be sure to use them in the best way but I already know that it won't be so as I am not a very good sewer:(

Don't think this is it!!! You know that one lucky thing brings another one with her! Well on the wedding day, alessandra, another friend of mine (we haven't known each other for long but we share a passion for creativity) brought to me a surprise: a bag fully stuffed with fabric renmants that she had received from a friend who works in a clothes factory and she hadn't any intentions to use! And so I brought home also these lovely striped pieces of fabric and another stash with al lot of striped velvet in different colours (ideal for winter/christmas projects)

So... I say..... how lucky am I??? To receive all these lovely gifts without expecting them really made me happy:)

un bacio fede
